AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. This is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of PreK-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.
A team will be visiting Mercy High School on March 2-4 for our review looking at our educational environment, teaching practices and student engagement. A report will be written to help assess our efforts with a goal of receiving accreditation for the next five years.

19 Scholarships to Mercy Given to 8th Graders
Feb. 11 was a special day for 19 eighth graders throughout Omaha who received word that they received scholarships to attend Mercy High School next year. Principal Sarah Regan, President Sister Delores Hannon, RSM, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Holly McCoy and Recruitment Director Anne McGill made personal visits to local schools to surprise students with the good news and present each girl with a yellow rose. The students received scholarship awards in conjunction with results of their Scholarship and Placement exam results. Read more.
Deats Named National Merit Finalist
Mercy High School senior, Emma Deats, has been named a Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Cooperation from a nationwide pool of 16,000 Semifinalists. She joins an elite group of students across the country recognized for their academic talents, scholastic achievements and school involvement. All National Merit Scholarship winners will be chosen from the Finalists. Read more.
