Welcome from VP of Advancement

TSP_2568Mercy High School’s mission—to educate girls to become confident women of Mercy who embody faith, knowledge and compassionate service—is more relevant today than it’s ever been. And making sure alumnae and donors are connected to and supporting that mission is the purpose of the Advancement Office.

Mercy is uniquely poised to meet today’s complex challenges. No other school its size has the blend of academics, diversity, athletics, activities and spiritual tradition in a welcoming environment, which ensures that every student’s voice is heard, and each student excels every day. And we make sure that regardless of a family’s resources, our quality education is available for any girl who desires through our Negotiated Tuition Program.

You — our alumnae and donor partners — make this happen. You invest your time, talent and treasure to ensure this opportunity for these young women. At the same time, this office not only has to raise money, we also make sure we steward your funds carefully. In fact, the school was recognized in 2015 by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce for its savvy business practices. Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, expressed it well. “ Since very little good can be accomplished without money, we must look after it in small as well as great matters.”

Our outcomes speak for themselves. Ninety-nine percent of the 2015 graduating class are headed to college, our accreditation body gave us rave reviews and we set a record for service hours to the community—12,000 hours! You can be proud that Mercy grads possess unsurpassed capacity to make a difference in our world.

Our financial needs continue. In addition to ongoing operational support, Mercy has developed a strategic plan to leverage our strengths and reach to the future. We will need your help and commitment to deliver on our educational commitment that focuses on the challenges of the future with innovative curriculum, state-of-the art technology and enhanced student success pathways.

Please contact us with your ideas on how to help achieve these goals.

Thanks for all you do for Mercy.
