Four students from Mercy High School have had their art selected for the 29th Annual Metro Seniors Art Show at the Hitchcock Humanities Center on Bellevue University’s campus.
The opening reception and awards ceremony is Wednesday, April 29, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, during which ribbons will be awarded for the best artwork in each category as well as Best in Show.

Spring Shows Scheduled
The spring concert is Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The event at Franey Hall will feature the Mercy High School Singers award-winning district music agenda, the Concert Choir and graduating seniors performing. The showcase also includes the presentation of award letters, district honors and the name of the Catherine Franey award for the outstanding music senior.
The art show will open April 28 at 6:30 p.m. right before the spring concert. The show features art work in various forms from honors students and seniors. The event will continue in Franey Hall through May 3 and is free and open to the public.
Mercy Hosts Clash of the Classes Soccer Invitational
Mercy High School will host its 10th annual “Clash of the Classes,” Women’s Varsity Soccer Invitational April 30 and May 2 at Creighton University’s Morrison Soccer Stadium. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for high school students or younger. Read more.

Meeting Jane Green Alseth ‘65 is like meeting a force of nature. The passionate, articulate and savvy lawyer, who worked in the profession for more than 40 years, tells it like it is and credits Mercy High School for helping form her as the person she is today. Mercy’s Mission Week Supports School in Sudan
Mercy High School’s Mission Week is April 27 to May 1 and this year funds will be raised to support the needs of the school built in 2013 in the Sudan near the Nuba Mountain Region. The project is in conjunction with Mercy schools throughout the country and is determined at a Mercy Leadership Conference each year that student leaders attend. Read more.
